KA-BAR Wins Imported Knife of the Year Award

KA-BAR Knives, Inc., a subsidiary of Alcas Corporation, wins the Blade Magazine Imported Knife of the Year Award.
On Saturday, June 5 at the Blade Magazine Awards Banquet held at the Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia, KA-BAR was honored with the Imported Knife of the Year Award for it's D2 Dozier Folding Hunter. This makes the second consecutive year the company has walked away a winner. In 2003 KA-BAR won the Knife of the Year Award in the Best Buy category.
The D2 Dozier Folding Hunter, #4059, is a traditionally styled knife made with some of today’s finest materials. Designed by custom knife-maker Bob Dozier, the knife features a razor sharp D2 steel blade, aircraft aluminum handle and reversible thumb stud for one hand opening. The folder measures 4” closed and 7 1/16” open and is made in Taiwan.

On Saturday, June 14 at the Blade Magazine Awards Banquet held at the Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia, KA-BAR was honored with the Knife of the Year Award in the Best Buy category for it's Dozier Folding Hunter. Chosen over numerous other designs, the Folding Hunter was picked for it's affordable price, strong construction, and functional, yet stylish design.
The Dozier Folding Hunter, #4062, is a practical all-purpose knife appropriate for daily tasks. The knife, designed by custom knife-maker Bob Dozier, features an AUS 8A stainless steel blade, textured Zytel handle and reversible thumb stud and pocket clip.
The folder measures 4” closed and 7” open and is made in Taiwan.
